The Kuala Lumpur City Gallery is an interesting tourist information centre with a collection of paintings and photos of KL’s history, plus miniature mock-ups of famous city landmarks. Set in a 114-year old, colonial-style building just beside Dataran Merdeka, this free museum is great if you want to find out a little bit more about KL’s history.

Stop at :  Malaysian Tourism Centre (MATIC)

MaTiC, in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur is a heritage building and landmark and a good place for newly arrived visitors to obtain tourist information on Malaysia. Hub for tourist info, a gift shop & other services, plus on-site festivals & music performances.

Stop at : Istana Negara (King’s Palace)

Known as Istana Negara, this residence of the King of Malaysia doesn’t allow visitor access inside the building, but you can take photos of the exterior along with the changing of the guards, which occurs hourly.

Stop at : National Monument

Finish at the National Monument (Tugu Negara), a bronze tribute to the lives that were lost in the fight for Malaysian independence, designed by American architect Felix de Weldon. At the end of the tour you’ll be taken back to the starting point.

Stop at : National Museum

The National Museum is located in a striking building that features traditional Malay and Minangkabau architecture. It houses collections on natural history, local culture and customs, and outdoor exhibits of artifacts recording the country’s past. The National Museum — home to collections of ancient and modern art pieces, weapons, and traditional costumes

Stop at : National Mosque (Masjid Negara)      

Contrast your visit to these glass and steel marvels with the National Mosque (Masjid Negara), located in the heart of the city amid lush green gardens. Built-in 1965, it is one of the most elegant buildings in KL and features a spectacular main dome covered in green and blue tiles, along with 48 smaller domes spread across the Mecca-inspired courtyard.  This uniquely designed mosque embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art, calligraphy, and ornamentation.

Stop at : Sultan Abdul Samad Building / Merdeka Square

The Sultan Abdul Samad Building is among Kuala Lumpur’s earliest Moorish-style buildings. The distinguished landmark originally served as the secretariat for the colonial British administration; the historically-significant building used to house the superior courts of Malaysia: the Federal Court of Malaysia, the Court of Appeals, and the High Court of Malaya before they moved to Putrajaya. Sultan Abdul Samad Building is now home to the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Culture of Malaysia. Merdeka Square. Also called Independence Square, this symbol of Malaysian independence is one of the most picturesque squares in the world. Admire both traditional and modern architectural masterpieces before moving on to the King’s Palace.

Stop at : Batu Caves

Your last stop will be at the limestone hills of Batu Caves that comprises three caverns and several smaller caves. It is the shrine of Lord Murugah, a Hindu deity – a flight of 272 steps leads up to the temple cave. Another cave, called the museum cave, is filled with images of deities and murals depicting scenes from the Hindu scriptures. Closed for 3 days on Thaipusam Festive (the day before, during, and the day after festive) After your day filled with Malaysian history, culture, and traditions, you will end your tour with a hotel or port drop off in Kuala Lumpur.

  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 1400 Hrs & 1200 Hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times of your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.
